nightly firmware. These docs, the setup wizard and the new screens match the nightly firmware on the fm-stations branch, not the firmware on master. Nightly = bleeding edge, under water testing, use at your own risk. Binaries are in the latest-FM-stations folders. Waiting bar: the breathing bar and the “not ready” end dots shown here are in the nightly from commit 61ec981 (flash the remote and the receiver together). Older nightly binaries show a 3-dot scanner that sweeps when ready and blinks in place when not ready.

BREmote Follow-Me Screens
The next remote firmware gives every Follow-Me state its own look, so one glance while you are surfing tells you what the buggy is doing. Below: each screen, animated at the real speed the remote draws it, then a quick glance quiz.

Three dots, three meanings
The two numbers are the metres between your remote and the buggy, in Follow-Me, auto-return and return-to-me alike.
One dot hopping waiting — armed, not following yet
Two steady dots following you
Filling down from the top the buggy is coming to you
Manual always winsIf GPS, compass or any automatic mode fails, the automation switches itself off and you can drive home by hand.
“St” means not workingOne signal for everything that stopped or was refused, always with the long buzz when you did not cause it. No new words to learn.
The screen tells the truthA mode is shown as ON only when the buggy confirms it. “Waiting” is only shown when a squeeze will really bring the buggy back.
Glance quiz
Can you read it in a third of a second?
The screen keeps running under a cover. Each round the cover opens for the time you pick, like glancing down at your hand while riding, then you tap what you saw. 12 rounds, 3 each of off, waiting, following and returning. Start at 5 s to learn the looks, then go down to 0.33 s and turn on Bob and Wet.
